Family Legacy in Huntington

Dr. Ashleigh Alex is a third-generation dentist, born and raised in Huntington, with deep family ties to the town. Her grandfather began serving patients as a general dentist in Huntington more than 70 years ago followed by her father. Today, Dr. Alex is proud to carry on her family’s legacy by providing advanced and compassionate orthodontic care to the community she calls home.

Education at Columbia University

Dr. Alex graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in Biology prior to attending dental school at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. While at Columbia, she developed a passion for research, winning multiple awards including the prestigious Dr. Milton Schlesinger Award for Excellence in Research. She went on to complete a three-year residency in Orthodontics while also earning a Master of Science degree from Columbia University.

As a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Alex has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training to ensure the highest level of care. She is experienced in treating patients of all ages and uses the latest technology to deliver treatment that is precise, efficient, and comfortable. Her approach to orthodontics goes beyond straightening teeth, as she designs treatment plans that also enhance facial esthetics and support airway health, helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles that last a lifetime.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Alex enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, Tyler, spending time with her rescue kitten, Elvis, and practicing yoga.
